A large hall inside the former stables now accommodates a museum that tells the tale of Tenuta Badessa, displaying diplomas, documents dating back to various epochs and antique objects that testify to agricultural activities and peasant civilization over the course of centuries. On exhibit are very ancient ploughs, keys, copper pots and pans, wheat and maize mills, large scales. Curious pieces will certainly rouse interest among visitors, such as the collection of tags featuring the ‘first names’ of the cows (Fiorenza, Carezza, Basilea, etc.), or lamps obtained from large wheels and sofas built assembling the various elements of a threshing-machine; little cups to hold ricotta cheese, a wicker cradle, a plough turned into a hat-stand and old charcoal irons. A curious, interesting dive into past times.
